Transforming an Old Walkway:
In today’s quick read, we’re excited to share the story of a small brick paver walkway we built for Joshua’s family. Joshua had made a promise to his dad years ago to replace their aging cobblestone walkway with a modern, stylish brick paver design. After a few years of gathering leftover materials from our office, we finally had everything we needed to make good on that promise.
The Walkway Design
The walkway we built is approximately 4 feet wide and features a gentle curve that connects their wooden deck to the garage. For this project, we chose Beacon Hill Fossil Pavers, a textured option in a rich, dark color that adds elegance to the design. While we don’t often use the Flagstone version of Unilock Beacon Hill, it was the perfect fit for this project. For the border, we selected Holland Premier pavers, which beautifully complement the curves and tie the whole look together.
This new walkway not only enhances the curb appeal of Joshua’s parents’ home but also adds functionality. With extra space near the deck, it’s now a great spot for their grill. In the future, we can imagine them using the walkway to move easily around the house and enjoy outdoor gatherings. We’re thrilled with how it turned out and hope they love it as much as we do!
