Also, consider the design of your house. Is it more modern or traditional, contemporary or ranch-style? When adding a patio or any outdoor living space, you want the design to blend with the style of your home. Let’s say your home is a traditional design, but the patio you add is ultra-modern and sleek. It will look out of place and be off-putting. You can still have a fire pit and a stone enclosure while respecting the design of your property. If your taste is more modern, add those touches in a non-permanent way–think about your furniture or other accessories. Your choice of building material will have a lot to do with this, and guidance from a professional helps in making the right decision.
